Hello! Today was full of 'first times'. We got Kaycee in the bathtub, but she would only stand. She screamed until we gave her a handful of liquid soap, then that satisfied her until the body and hair cleaning was over. Then we went to get her passport & visa pictures taken. After the pictures we went to get her medical exam. As soon as we got into the building, she started screaming because of all the doctors. Plus because China has a government run health care system - anybody and everybody was there. She passed the physical, and we went back to the room for lunch & nap. Poor thing, I had to wake her up from nap so that we could apply for her passport. She got gittery at the office becuase of all the government people with uniforms on. I am glad that she is afriad of strangers. The orphanage director told me that she was not afraid of anyone, but I think she just told me that because that is what she thought I would like to hear. Afterwards we played in the Play Room at the hotel, there were several other children - one of which is a couple from Ohio that adopted a 3yr old from Kaycee's orphnage and they remembered each other! We went to dinner and then went for our evening walk. Back at the hotel we once again attempted the pj's - and we got them on, but not without many tears. Once again - mommy is bad! Oh well, I am use to that! Tomorrow if there is no rain we are going to the zoo. Emilee is so excited because there is a Panda Bear. Have a wonderful day!

  1. What a day!!! Glad to hear she got a bath. The P.J. thing reminded me that Caroline slept in her shoes for the first three days.

The girls look adorable together- I can't wait to hear about the zoo!

    Take care!
